Les gagnants selon FilmFare pour l'année de 2009 dans les films de Bollywood (dont les films sont dans le langue Hindi) sont 3 Idiots (6), Dev D (5), Firaaq(4), Wake Up Sid(3),Delhi 6(3), Paa(2), Love Aaj Kal(2). Comme d'habitude Aamir Khan n'était pas présent malgré le succès de son film. Ceci dit, son film (3 Idiots) tiens le record de meilleur recette d'un film indien. Like as usual, Aamir Khan preferred to stay out of the awards limelight inspite of his movie bagging in 6 of these awards.
